Accessibility

This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. The controls below let you adjust it further.

Display and accessibility settings

Theme
100%

Scales every piece of text and spacing on the site, from 85% up to 150%.

Accessibility
  • Darkens text and strengthens borders against the background.
  • Removes entrance animations, hover lifts, and smooth scrolling.
  • Always underline links inside body content, not just on hover.
  • Switches to a hyperlegible typeface with looser letter and line spacing.

What is in place

  • A skip link to the main content as the first item in the tab order.
  • Every interactive control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
  • Text and interface colours meeting the 4.5:1 (text) and 3:1 (controls) contrast ratios.
  • Landmarks, headings, labels, and table headers marked up so assistive technology can navigate structurally.
  • Results and status changes announced through a polite live region.
  • Animation honours your operating system's reduced-motion setting, and can be switched off here.
  • Layout reflows to 320 px and supports 200% zoom without loss of content.

Known limitations

  • The interactive maps are visual by nature. Every map on the site is paired with a text panel — route steps, result lists, or a results table — carrying the same information.
  • The résumé is distributed as a tagged PDF. If you need it in another format, ask and it will be sent.
